About DCIP
The Dessmi Circular Intelligence Platform (DCIP) is a digital platform for waste traceability, circular economy management, ESG reporting and impact measurement. It is developed and operated by Dessmi Limited, an integrated circular waste management company based in Mombasa, Kenya.

Waste pickers and community collectors are essential to material recovery in Kenya. DCIP's data model already records who recovered material and whether they are a waste-picker or community collector — so their contribution to circularity is visible and credited.
A dedicated Waste Picker & Informal Sector module — with material and transaction tracking for pickers — arrives in Phase 2.

Who we are. Dessmi Limited ("Dessmi", "we") operates the Dessmi Circular Intelligence Platform (DCIP). Questions about this policy: · 0725 929 621 · Mombasa, Kenya.
What we collect. (a) Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password. (b) Organization profile: organization name, contact person, phone, site location and county. (c) Operational records: waste collection requests — waste type, quantities, collection locations, dates, drivers and destinations — which form your DCIP manifest history. (d) Technical data: a sign-in token stored in your browser so you stay logged in.
Why we use it. To provide the waste collection service you request, maintain traceability records, produce verified waste and ESG-supporting reports, comply with legal obligations, and improve the platform. We do not sell your personal data.
Who can see it. Your waste records are visible only to you and to Dessmi administrators operating the service. Other customers can never see your records. Service partners (e.g. assigned drivers) see only what is needed to complete your collection. Regulators may receive records where required by law.
Your rights. Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. We keep records only as long as needed for the service and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize them.
Security. Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text), access is role-restricted, and sign-in is rate-limited. No system is perfectly secure; if a data breach ever affects you, we will notify you.
Changes. We may update this policy; the current version is always on this page.
Terms of Use
Please read these terms before using DCIP.
The service. DCIP is Dessmi's digital platform for waste traceability, circular economy management, ESG reporting and impact measurement. Using DCIP means you accept these terms.
Your account. Provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and tell us immediately about unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Acceptable use. Do not submit false information, interfere with the platform, attempt to access other users' data, or use DCIP for any unlawful purpose.
Records. DCIP manifest records are the operational record of your collections as captured by Dessmi. Please check your records and report any errors promptly.
No regulatory certification. DCIP provides waste data and reports that can support compliance and green-building programmes such as LEED. DCIP and Dessmi do not certify buildings and do not issue regulatory approvals or licences.
Availability. We aim for reliable service but provide DCIP "as is" and may change or suspend features (including parts marked "Coming Soon") for maintenance or improvement. We are not liable for indirect losses arising from downtime.
Liability. To the extent permitted by law, Dessmi's liability for claims relating to DCIP is limited to the fees you paid for the relevant service in the preceding three months.
